Serious injury specialist Michelle is based at Thompsons Solicitors’ Newcastle office and covers cases across the country.
With more than three decades of legal experience, chartered legal executive Michelle has expertise in a broad range of areas including clinical negligence, personal injury and industrial diseases such as upper limb disorders and deafness.
Utilising her extensive knowledge of industrial disease litigation, Michelle is a part of Thompsons’ national Serous Injury Team and is assistant to the solicitor leading a test litigation on behalf airline crew members exposed to toxic cabin air.
Michelle’s amiable yet determined approach assists in her day-to-day duties of liaising with claimants, recording statements, finding and evaluating records, reviewing defendant disclosures and initiating proceedings.
Michelles enjoys working at Thompsons because the firm’s over-riding priority is to provide first class legal representation to working people.
In her spare time, Michelle can often be found enjoying a good book.
MICHELLE’S CASE EXPERIENCE
Toxic cabin air claim: Michelle is the assistant to the lead solicitor in a major test case involving multiple Unite the Union airline cabin crew members whose health has been compromised after being exposed to toxic fumes.
Accident at work claim: Michelle’s client was a long distance HGV driver who fell from a ladder attached to his lorry and suffered a head injury. The employer denied liability but settled for a five figure sum.
Michelle has been a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Legal Executives since 2006.
