Rachel is the regional employment rights manager for the employment team based in Thompsons Solicitors' Leeds office. She manages a team dedicated to acting on behalf of unions and their members across Yorkshire, specialising in employment tribunal litigation. Alongside her managerial responsibilities, Rachel also maintains a personal caseload of complex cases in the Employment Tribunal and Employment Appeal Tribunal.

Rachel has 15 years of experience covering all aspects of employment law. As a committed claimant lawyer, she brings discrimination claims under the Equality Act.

Throughout her career, Rachel has consistently acted for claimants against their employers, drawing satisfaction from securing results for individuals who are discriminated against in the workplace. Her legal journey began with training as a solicitor at a not-for-profit law centre, followed by work in legal aid, consistently advocating for employees.

Rachel joined Thompsons in 2021, viewing the representation of trade unions and their members as a natural progression in a career dedicated to defending and promoting employee rights. In her current role, she not only relishes the opportunity to secure outstanding results for individuals but also supports the trade union movement to effect real change in employment law for the benefit of their members. Additionally, Rachel finds fulfilment in developing her team, helping others to advance their careers in employment law.
