Hannah Clissold is the first point of contact for medical negligence claims at Thompsons Solicitors’ Cardiff office, working for clients across Wales and the South West.
Hannah joined Thompsons in 2019 as a legal secretary before being recognised for her organisational and analytical skills and promoted to being a paralegal.
Hannah’s role is to take down key initial information from a client, who may be suffering from both physical and psychological injuries. Another member of the clinical negligence team will then assess whether the claim is likely to succeed.
Hannah will be involved in a day to day basis with reviewing medical records, taking client and witness statements and drafting instructions to experts. She also arranges and attends conferences with specialist barristers.
Hannah explains that the most rewarding thing about working for Thompsons is being on one side of the claim process - only helping those who have been injured, being with them as they go through difficult times in their lives and seeking to make their lives easier following the medical mistakes they have suffered.
Away from work, Hannah enjoys walking, reading and spending time with her friends. Â
