Part of Thompsons’ asbestos disease team, Rachel qualified as a solicitor in 2011 after undertaking training at the firm and has more than 14 years' experience in dealing with personal injury claims.
Dogged and focused, Rachel’s day-to-day duties include carrying out research, reviewing records and communicating with experts, insurers and clients in order to obtain evidence supporting causation and liability for asbestos-related disease claims.
Rachel also tracks down insurers for firms that have stopped trading to pursue claims for victims of asbestos.
Heralding from a family of trade unionists, Rachel is proud to represent and achieve justice for union members and their families and be part of a firm dedicated to making workplaces safer for future generations.
Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with her three young children, as well as running and reading.
Rachel's case experience
- Secured a six-figure settlement for a client was diagnosed with mesothelioma after being exposed to asbestos while serving in the Merchant Navy. Rachel conducted extensive research to identify the right insurers to make the claim.
- Secured a provisional settlement and then a further £20,000 in damages three years later for a client whose health worsened after their initial diagnosis of asbestosis.
