Case Experience
- Chelsea successfully handled a clinical negligence claim arising from a chemical injury to a client's eye after their contact lens was mistakenly stored in an inappropriate solution during a hospital appointment. Liability was admitted, and the claim proceeded on the issue of quantum. Chelsea obtained expert ophthalmology evidence to assess the temporary visual disturbance, treatment required and the impact on the client's daily life before negotiating a settlement of £7,000 without the need for court proceedings. The settlement reflected the temporary loss of functional vision, associated distress, care needs and loss of earnings.
