Jake is a Litigation Assistant in the Personal Injury team based in the Birmingham office. Jake graduated from De Montfort University Leicester in 2025 with an LLB Law degree, following three years of dedication and hard work. He chose to begin his legal career at Thompsons because of the firm's reputation as the UK's most experienced personal injury law firm and has valued the support and welcoming team environment he has found since joining.
As a Litigation Assistant, Jake supports a wide range of personal injury cases. His day-to-day responsibilities include assessing the merits of claims, gathering evidence, obtaining medical records and expert reports, valuing claims, and liaising directly with clients throughout the litigation process.
Jake believes that strong communication is fundamental to achieving the best outcomes for clients. With a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach, he focuses on building trust and rapport with those he represents, ensuring they feel informed and supported at every stage of their claim.
His passion for claimant work stems from personal experience, which gave him first-hand insight into the challenges individuals can face following injury or hardship. This experience reinforced his commitment to helping people through difficult periods in their lives and achieving the best possible outcomes on their behalf.
Outside of work, Jake enjoys following Birmingham City Football Club and regularly travels across the country to support the team both home and away.
