Lauren joined Thompsons’ Clinical Negligence team in August 2026, based in the Newcastle Office.
Originally from Hull, she completed her LLB Law degree in 2022 at Hull University. She further obtained her Legal Practice Course (LPC) in 2026, at Leeds Beckett Law School. She is hopeful to qualify as a solicitor.
She began working as a Paralegal in 2024 and was based in Yorkshire. She has experience in multi-track and high value claims, including; brain injury, cancer, surgical errors, birth injury, delay in diagnosis, and amputation. She continues to do this work in the North East.
Prior to working in law firms, she worked as a Court Usher for HMCTS. Here, she gained experience of the court service, primarily assisting with family law cases.
Lauren is a strong advocate for commitment to the trade union and labour movement. She is proud to be from a working-class background, to represent this within the legal sector, and believes that this has driven her sense of social justice. She aims to be approachable and compassionate towards her clients.
In her spare time, she enjoys exploring new places and going to the gym. She is a lover of cats, good coffee, and 80’s music.
