Adam joined Thompsons in May 2026 as a clinical negligence paralegal in the Newcastle office.

 

Graduating from the University of Oxford in 2024 with a 2:1 bachelor’s degree in jurisprudence, he acquired experience in conveyancing and corporate law before joining Thompsons, where he is eager to earn a training contract, qualify as a solicitor and beyond.

 

He was drawn to the clinical negligence field and Thompsons more specifically for its strong morals, dynamic workload across a wide range of interesting areas and historic trade union links speaking to his working-class pride.

 

He has worked across a dynamic range of cases including those involving cancers, cauda equina syndrome, amputations, cerebral palsy and strokes. On these files he has drafted key statements of case, instructed experts to produce crucial reports, taken witness statements and headed conferences with barristers, medical experts and clients in attendance.

 

Through this role Adam seeks to stand up and seek justice for those whose suffering may otherwise go overlooked. He works with barristers and medical experts to establish evidence demonstrating a defendant’s liability and works with clients to put their experiences into formal statements and schedules of loss that can help find a settlement figure that will grant them the funds to afford the treatments and support to improve their quality of life and make back at least some of what medical negligence took from them.

 

Adam takes a client-focused approach, always trying to respond to emails promptly and answer calls or call back as soon as he is able. He aims to be transparent and keep clients informed of progress of their case, deadlines and what we are doing to keep their matter moving forward.
