James Riley is the national head of the cross border personal injury team at Thompsons.
James specialises in personal injury claims with an international element. He represents British victims who have suffered personal injury whilst outside of England & Wales and also represents victims from abroad who have suffered personal injury whilst visiting the UK.
James has significant experience in such claims having represented victims in this area for over a decade and in that time being involved in some of the most high-profile cases in this field. James has represented Claimants in the High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and Court of Justice of the European Union.
James represents victims in many different circumstances, including injuries suffered following road traffic accidents, whilst in employment, on holiday, following medical negligence, whilst at sea and whilst in the air.
James has represented people who have suffered the most catastrophic and life changing injuries, such as brain injury, spinal cord injury and polytrauma and unfortunately James has assisted families following the death of a loved one.
