Bernadette Moruzzi is based at Thompsons Solicitors' Manchester office and specialises in personal injury cases for clients who have developed industrial diseases.

Bernadette started at Thompsons in October 2017. She worked at the National Litigation Centre for four years as a pre-litigation executive, before being seconded in February 2021 to be a litigation assistant in the industrial disease team in Manchester.

Bernadette’s case load includes clients that have been exposed to harmful substances or suffered other workplace injuries including RSI injuries, respiratory injuries caused by exposure to hazardous chemicals (COSHH claims) and HAVS (hand-arm vibration syndrome) injuries including Raynaud’s and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

Daily life at Thompsons for Bernadette involves taking instructions from new clients, assessing prospects of success and submitting claims onto the claims portal.

For Bernadette the most rewarding thing about working at Thompsons is the exposure to a wide range of different legal areas, which enables her to develop both general but also specialist legal skills.

Outside of work Bernadette enjoys travelling and taking part in gym and yoga classes.
