With nine years of legal experience, Harriet specialises in claims relating to accidents and civil assault. She has acted in claims involving public liability, occupiers’ liability, and also in multi-track accident claims.
She has represented trade union members across a broad spectrum of workplaces, including prisons, schools, care homes and factories, and helped clients claim for a variety of injuries including orthopaedic and psychiatric.
Harriet enjoys being able to build a close relationship with clients and trade unions in the course of her work. For her, Thompsons’ commitment to only acting for victims, never for defendants, is the most rewarding aspect of working for the firm.
When not busy at Thompsons, Harriet campaigns for education and awareness of the Srebrenica genocide in her capacity as a board member of Remembering Srebrenica Wales.
Harriet acted for a care worker who was assaulted by a service user after her employer failed to carry out adequate risk assessments. The client suffered physical and psychological injuries in the aftermath of the attack. Harriet was able to successfully secure compensation for the client for her injuries.
Harriet is a Graduate member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives.

“It really means a lot to me that I have had such a professional and understanding person by my side, fighting my corner for such a long time. You took a lot of pressure off me when I was going through some difficult times in my life, and I cannot thank you enough for doing that. You may say you're only doing your job, I would say you’re making a difference in people's lives,” – a Unite member.
