Chenai is a litigation assistant covering cases across Yorkshire and Humberside for Thompsons Solicitors’ Serious Injury team.

Based at Thompsons’ Leeds office, Chenai works on claims involving accidents at work, occupier’s liability, assaults and road traffic accidents.

A grade three litigation assistant, Chenai provides assistance to senior solicitors leading catastrophic injury cases, including those involving brain injuries, and is involved from the beginning of a claim right through to the settlement.

Compassionate and meticulous, Chenai is driven to ensure that clients receive the best possible legal services and are provided with the help they need to be move forward after suffering what are often life changing injuries.

Chenai’s favourite thing about working for Thompsons, and on the Serious Injury team in particular, is seeing clients progress positively.

Outside of work, Chenai is dedicated to the Christian faith and enjoys going to the gym and walking.

Chenai's Case Experience

Accident at work claim: Chenai assisted on a case involving a street lighting electrician and Unite member who suffered a serious shoulder injury and cracked ribs after a concrete street light column fell onto him during maintenance work. The client is now unable to carry out heavy work due to permanent damage to his upper right limb. The case settled for £175,000 following a joint settlement meeting.

Road traffic accident claim: Chenai assisted a senior solicitor whose client was run over by a motorcyclist on a pedestrian crossing. The client sustained an unstable neck fracture and a traumatic brain injury and continues to suffer neck pain, memory loss, balance and fatigue issues and psychological symptoms. The case was settled for £2.8 million.
