Matthew is a member of Thompsons Solicitors’ Serious Injury Team and covers cases throughout the North West region.

Based from Thompsons’ Manchester office, assistant executive Matthew helps senior solicitors on serious injury cases that often involve amputations, poly-trauma and spinal cord and brain injuries.

Drawing on his experience in the Serious Injury Team, Matthew also runs his own small caseload made up of claims for lower value head injuries.

Matthew is proud to work at Thompsons because of the firm’s strong commitment to claimant rehabilitation and effective role in ensuring that clients receive the correct support and treatment.

Being able to help clients move forward positively after they have suffered a serious injury is Matthew’s favourite thing about working at Thompsons.

When not working, Matthew is a drummer who has a passion for making and recording music. Matthew also enjoys cooking and getting out into the countryside.

Accident at work claim: Matthew was part of a legal team that represented a mechanical fitter who suffered a workplace crush injury. The client worked for a recycling company and was injured when a one-tonne steel plate fell onto him. With Matthew’s help the legal team secured a six-figure compensation package for their client.

Road traffic accident claim: Matthew was part of a legal team that represented a former youth development manager who was knocked off his bicycle by a car. As a result the client suffered a fractured skull and multiple spinal fractures as well as psychological trauma. Matthew helped to ensure the man was provided with a substantial financial settlement.

Matthew’s former client said: “Thank you Matthew for all your help and support throughout the duration of my case, but particularly for your hard work and effort over the recent months.”

Another of Matthew’s former client’s said: “I cannot emphasise enough the excellent manner and professionalism in which Matthew Hall has dealt with our case. We received both compassion and understanding throughout.”
