Sonia's case experience

Medical negligence claim: Sonia’s client suffered a small stroke but was misdiagnosed by medical staff at her NHS Trust as having an eye problem. Her client then went on to have a second more serious stroke, which left her with life-altering disabilities that prevented her from looking after her children and going to work. The case went to trial and the court agreed that the trust’s failure to diagnose the first stroke, although not being the cause of the second stroke, materially contributed to its severity. Following the ruling, Sonia’s client received £150,000 in compensation.

Medical negligence claim: After undergoing hip surgery, Sonia’s young client suffered eight months of severe infections due to a repeated diagnosis failures and a lack of prophylactic antibiotics. The defendant admitted partial liability and the claim was settled for £30,000.

I couldn’t have asked for more.”
