Support for members and loved ones affected by coronavirus (COVID-19)

Working with UNISON we have produced a factsheet on the government’s coronavirus (COVID-19) Life Assurance Scheme for frontline health and social care workers who have tragically lost their lives as a result of exposure in their place of work.

If you know a UNISON member who has lost their life due to coronavirus (COVID-19), you can help their loved ones by directing them to the factsheets below that explain the Life Assurance Scheme as it applies in England and Wales and in Scotland (there is as yet no separate scheme for Northern Ireland).

We have also put together a questionnaire with UNISON to work out where exposure has occurred and how employers responded. Everyone who has been exposed to coronavirus (COVID-19) at work at any time can help. By completing the questionnaire below, you will help us to work with UNISON to support you and your fellow members.

The more information we gather, the better UNISON can campaign about the issues raised (and we can establish whether you might have a personal injury claim).
