Following the introduction of the Health Act 2006, smoking in all enclosed public spaces and workplaces was outlawed from 2 April 2007 in Wales.
The law on whistleblowing does not make clear whether it is for the employer to disprove that this was the reason for dismissal, or for the employee to prove that it was.
The law sets out the protection to which workers are entitled when they “blow the whistle”, if they are dismissed or subjected to any other disadvantage.
