Kam is a senior serious injury associate solicitor based in one of Thompsons London offices, representing individuals injured across the South East and East Anglia. Kam qualified as a solicitor in 2000 and has over 20 years’ experience in acting for injured people.
Known for his ability to put clients at ease and his approachable nature, Kam deals with the whole spectrum of catastrophic and serious injury cases. He has acted for numerous clients involved in workplace injuries, road traffic collisions, motorbike accidents, cycling accidents, pedestrian accidents. victims of assault and in assisting bereaved families seeking justice following the death of a loved one following a fatal accident.
Kam’s clients have often suffered orthopaedic injuries, head and brain injuries with continuing symptoms and a threat of epilepsy, spinal cord injuries, limb amputations, serious burn injuries and those that are life-changing and catastrophic. Outside of work, Kam is kept busy with his family but when he finds the time, enjoys weight training, yoga, cycling and travel.
Kam's Case Experience
- Secured a £1.5 million settlement for a motorcyclist who suffered a closed fracture to his left femur and an open fracture to the tibia, which resulted in a below-knee amputation following a road traffic collision.
- Acted for a Railway worker who was struck by a passing train whilst undertaking work on the track and suffered multiple serious injuries resulting in an amputation of his right arm. Significant interims payments were secured in order to trial and purchase state of the art prosthetics and rehabilitation. Kam secured a settlement of £1 million.
- Secured £1.3 million for a cyclist who was riding straight ahead at a busy junction in Central London when a coach turning left failed to spot him and truck him causing life changing injuries that resulted in a below knee amputation.
- Recovered £800,000 for a motorcyclist who was injured when a car turned right across his path while riding, causing a collision. The driver left the scene, leaving the man with life-changing injuries, including fractures across his body, abdominal injury, head injury and vertebral artery dissection, causing a stroke. - Acted for the family of an Aircraft Engineer who was tragically killed in a collision that happened airside when an airport airside operations employee driving a larger 4x4 vehicle collided with his vehicle at an uncontrolled crossing. The Inquest into the death lasted 5 days and resulted in a prevention of future death report by the Coroner. The claim on behalf of the family was settled for a significant six figure sum. You can read more about the case here and here.
- Secured £800,000 for a pedestrian who suffered a below knee amputation following a collision with a motorcyclist.
- Represented a nurse who was cycling when she was struck by a bus sustaining multiple serious injuries. The medical experts in the case considered that there was a risk of amputation of the left foot. Kam issued court proceedings and secured a settlement of £750,000 with the right to return to court in the event of amputation.
