Our client, who was forced to have his leg amputated following a workplace fall, is approaching a return to work and has resumed field shooting for which he has previously represented Britain on the international stage, thanks to a rehabilitation programme from a settlement of £3m secured by Thompsons Solicitors.
The 29 year-old was an employee of rail freight and logistics firm Freightliner when he sustained multiple complex fractures after falling several meters into an inspection pit in 2016.
When after two years of treatment, the fractures had not healed our client had to have a below the knee amputation in 2018. He subsequently suffered infections and needed further medical care.
After extensive rehabilitation and a state-of-the-art prosthetic limb to improve his mobility our client has not only got back to driving but is planning a return to work and has resumed his passion for field shooting.
Having turned to his union Unite the union for help Thompsons Solicitors were instructed and helped him secure interim payments to cover the treatment and equipment he needed as well as a final settlement of £3 million.
