Thompsons Solicitors team of specialist employment rights and trade union solicitors were approached earlier this year to provide expert insight and guidance to workers for the latest edition of the TUC’s Your Rights at Work.

Available now, the book focuses on topics such as pay, discrimination, dismissal and balancing family commitments with work.

It provides readers with a jargon-free guide on employment law and includes details of useful helplines and advice services.

Previous editions of the book have proved to be very popular and are described as a ‘must have’ for people in work.

Jo Seery, senior employment rights lawyer, said: “It’s been a huge privilege to be approached and trusted by the TUC to help with the latest edition of one of their key publications.

“Being approached in our centenary year, having worked with the trade union movement for our entire history, made this a particularly fitting recognition of the firm’s unique and extensive expertise.”

Thompsons is celebrating 100 years of working shoulder-to-shoulder with trade unions, fighting for the rights of the injured and mistreated. The firm’s vision to use the law to provide justice for working people remains in place today and it continues to help thousands of people get the compensation they deserve.
