Sex orientation protection extended

Regulations extending protection against discrimination on the ground of sexual orientation to include the provision of goods and services have been laid before Parliament.

These are due to come into force at the end of April, at the same time as Part 2 of the Equality Act. This provides parallel protection against discrimination in the provision of goods and services on the grounds of people's religion or belief.
