A number of important changes have been made to the 1975 Sex Discrimination Act which came into effect on 6 April.

A breach of duty

In negligence cases, claimants have to show (among other things) that the harm they suffered was reasonably foreseeable, and part of a “chain” that can be traced back to the accident.
