The Employment Bill – which the government says will strengthen and clarify key aspects of employment law – has just had its first reading in the Lords.
Under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, employers must make reasonable adjustments for employees in certain circumstances.
In disability discrimination cases, claimants have to show that they have a physical or mental impairment which has a substantial and long-term adverse impact on their ability to carry out normal day-to-day activities.
