Few dads take paternity leave

Although shared parental leave comes into effect early next year, a new report has found that just ten per cent of new fathers currently take more than two weeks of paternity leave.

Pregnant workers

The purpose of the Pregnant Workers Directive is to protect the safety and health of pregnant workers, those who have recently given birth or who are breastfeeding.

Contract activities

There is a service provision change under regulations 3(1)(b) of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) when “activities” cease to be carried out by one contractor and are then carried out by another.
