Mesothelioma bill falls short

Thompsons has warned that the Mesothelioma Bill, which was debated this week in parliament, will deprive hundreds of people with the fatal asbestos-related cancer of compensation.

Section 108 of the Equality Act 2010 outlaws discrimination post-termination of employment when closely connected to the person’s job. However, it is not clear whether it also expressly excludes victimisation.
