Employment agency consultation sleight of hand

The government is consulting on reforming the employment agencies regulatory framework, with the aim of “reducing the regulatory burden and allowing businesses to play an active role in developing their own methods of maintaining standards”.

Political protection

The Equality Act 2010 applies to anyone discriminated against on various grounds such as race and sex, but not on grounds of their political beliefs or affiliations.

Client identity

Under the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE), a service provision change (SPC) occurs when activities cease to be carried out by a contractor on a client's behalf and are carried out instead by a subsequent contractor on their behalf.
