Consultation on rights for shares

The government has demonstrated its intention to allow employers to force prospective employees to give up key employment rights in return for a so-called “share” in the business.

Main breach

To succeed in a claim of unfair constructive dismissal, employees have to show that they resigned in response to a fundamental breach of their contract (among other things).

Representative pay

Airline pilots are entitled by law to statutory, paid annual leave, but the Civil Aviation (Working Time) Regulations 2004 do not make clear how the pay should be calculated.
