Thompsons’ Llanelli office was established by the late Jeffrey Parsons, and continues to trade under the name J.M. Parsons & Co. The office is well known locally for supporting former industrial workers with asbestos-related diseases. Specialist asbestos lawyer and Thompsons partner Amanda Jones, who trained with Jeffrey, is based in the Llanelli office.

Thompsons Solicitors, a leader in asbestos law who brought the first asbestos case to the House of Lords in 1972, welcomed J.M. Parsons & Co into the firm in 2016. While the Llanelli office is still at the forefront of asbestos and industrial disease litigation, Thompsons also has significant expertise in employment law, workplace accidents, personal injury and medical negligence claims.

Opening hours

Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm. The office is closed over bank holidays and during the Christmas and New Year period.

The Llanelli team wins, on average:

- Nearly £1 million in damages every year

- Almost £850,000 in compensation for asbestos clients each year

As the UK’s leading trade union law firm, Thompsons has been representing union members and workers for over 100 years. Today, Thompsons continues to work alongside the union movement and the Welsh Labour government to champion the rights of workers and the injured across Wales.
