The latest Work-Life Balance Employer Survey, commissioned by the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform showed that 95 per cent of workplaces offer some form of flexible working for staff.
The European Acquired Rights Directive (ARD) says that the rights of employees must be protected when the undertaking for which they work is transferred in certain circumstances.
Regulation 8 of the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employee) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) states that certain liabilities do not transfer if a company is subject to insolvency proceedings.
