In a report published last week, the National Council for Palliative Care called on the government to consider introducing statutory paid bereavement leave for employees.
The law states that claimants must present their claims to a tribunal within three months from the effective date of termination, unless it is not “reasonably practicable” to do so.
When deciding whether a dismissal is unfair following a TUPE transfer, tribunals have to consider whether the reason was connected with the transfer and whether it was for an ETO reason.
