Eight executives from Thompsons were endorsed in this year’s Legal 500
Thompsons Solicitors has been recommended for its medical negligence services in this year’s Legal 500.
The Legal 500, which is now in its 29th year, is recognised as the world’s largest legal referral guide and ranks more than 100 law firms across the world on their merit.
Claire Evans, of Thompsons’ Cardiff office, was one of only four medical negligence solicitors in Wales listed as a ‘leading lawyer’, for her “tenacious and hardworking” work ethic as well as having “knowledge of the defendant’s mind, which is extremely helpful in advancing cases.”
Thompsons was also noted for its work with victims of medical error from its offices in Newcastle, Chelmsford, Bristol, Birmingham and Cardiff. Cathryn Davies, senior medical negligence solicitor based in the Cardiff office, was also noted for her strong track record in dealing with cerebral palsy cases.
Head of asbestos litigation, Ian McFall, and senior medical negligence solicitor, Clair Wilson, were praised for their work with asbestos disease and amputation cases, alongside other members of the Newcastle team.
Also highlighted in the prestigious legal ranking was medical negligence solicitor Madeleine Pinschof, from Thompsons’ Bristol office, who was called “intelligent, efficient and likeable”. Linda Millband, national practice lead of the medical negligence team, was commended for her work with clients in the east midlands, a recent breast cancer case, and her management of Thompsons’ Birmingham office.
Thompsons Solicitors has also been highly praised for its work representing personal injury clients.
Linda Millband, national practice lead of the Thompsons medical negligence team, said: “It’s wonderful to see so many of our solicitors recognised by the Legal 500 for their hard work helping victims of serious injuries, such as birth and brain injuries, misdiagnosis and medical error, receive the justice they so rightly deserve.
“Thompsons is not your average law firm – we only act for the claimant, never the defendant. Our solicitors always go the extra mile to ensure not only compensation is achieved, but that our clients have access to rehabilitation and support groups like Headway, so that they have every opportunity to move on with their life after a tragic accident.”
