Thompsons Solicitors has strengthened its industrial disease team with the promotion of Jon Carlisle as the firm’s first Head of Disease.

With more than 25 years’ experience of winning workplace disease compensation claims, Jon will be responsible for leading and overseeing the firm’s nationwide specialist workplace disease team. He will develop the firm’s industrial disease strategy, working closely with trade unions and industry groups to ensure that the firm delivers a first-rate service to its clients.

An industrial disease lawyer by trade, Jon has extensive experience of handing significant industrial disease compensation claims for clients, including occupational asthma, dermatitis, hand arm vibration syndrome and industrial deafness.

Jon said: “Thompsons Solicitors has a long history of fighting for the rights of injured people, especially those injured or made ill by their place of work. Industrial disease compensation claims can be extremely complex as locating where a person may have been exposed to a particular substance can require a huge amount of research.

“At Thompsons, we have a dedicated team who focus almost entirely on industrial disease compensation claims, meaning we provide clients with expert advice. I am looking forward to overseeing the team and the firm’s industrial disease caseload to ensure that we continue to provide the very best support to each and every client.”
