Teresa has more than 20 years intensive experience of handling a wide range of personal injury cases, from initial interview to taking them to trial, if necessary, including criminal injuries compensation (CICA). In that time, Teresa has succeeded in gaining thousands in compensation for union members injured at work or in a public place, such as suffering severe hand lacerations, fractures, broken legs, broken arms, shoulder injuries and injuries needing surgery.
For the past five years, Teresa has supervised her team of eight specialist solicitors, passing on her skills and knowledge and making sure that they deliver the best possible outcomes for their trade union clients.
As well as dealing with fast track personal injury and accidents at work that result from faulty equipment, or damage to knees or shoulders requiring surgery from trips and slips where the employer is liable, Teresa’s team also takes on road traffic accident claims. The most common claims are around whiplash injuries, or damage to neck, back or shoulder, but also some psychological injuries, or those leading to scarring or nasty burns.
With a reputation for sound judgement and a high success rate, Teresa’s experience is invaluable in guiding, mentoring and supporting her team to make sure they collect the best and most appropriate medical evidence and financial information to progress claims. Once Teresa is satisfied that everything is in order, she will review the files for sign-off and oversee the valuations.
Teresa’s hands-on approach and diplomatic skills make sure that cases run smoothly and trade union clients are kept informed throughout.
Teresa values Thompsons’ emphasis on investing in its staff for the benefit of trade union members. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family.
