Lois manages Thompsons Solicitors’ Leeds Personal Injury Unit, which handles claims from the East of England, Yorkshire and the Humber.
Qualifying as a solicitor in 1995, Lois’ career has been dedicated to only ever representing those who have sustained personal injuries.
Lois gained significant management and leadership skills in previous positions as a team leader and the manager of a department comprising of 60 personal injury litigators before taking up her current role.
As the manager of Thompsons’ Personal Injury Unit in Leeds, Lois leads teams of highly skilled lawyers within four specialist work streams dealing with cases involving serious life changing injuries, accidents, industrial diseases and asbestos-related conditions.
Lois makes sure the unit provides first class legal services, excellent claimant care and the maximum compensation possible for clients by both leading and supporting staff.
With a broad base of knowledge and experience in personal injury claims, Lois is a specialist in helping clients and their loved ones who have been victims of life changing and complex injuries, including traumatic brian injury, amputation and significant orthopaedic trauma.

When not working, Lois enjoys socialising with friends and family, tennis, cycling and walking.
LOIS’ CASE EXPERIENCE
Lois has settled numerous claims in a range of legal settings, mainly at joint settlement meetings but also attending hearings at the Royal Courts of Justice and other courts. When representing clients, Lois’ focus is on securing interim payments, specialist case management and rehabilitation before a case is resolved as well as maximising compensation to provide accommodation, care, equipment and future needs for a client’s lifetime once proceedings are completed.
Lois is senior litigator at the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
