Litigation assistant Rachel specialises in asbestos and radiation disease claims and has worked at Thompsons Solicitors for more than two decades.

Based at Thompsons’ Newcastle office, Rachel began her career securing compensation under the British Coal Litigation Scheme for former-miners suffering vibration white finger, before moving to the firm’s North East asbestos disease team nine years ago.

As well as handling predominantly non-malignant asbestos disease claims, including for asbestosis, pleural thickening and plaques, Rachel also deals with claims throughout the UK involving individuals who have developed cancer after being exposed to radiation at work.

With an expert knowledge of public and employers’ liability claims, Rachel’s caseload often consists of claims that come under the Compensation Scheme for Radiation Linked Diseases and the Turner & Newalls Trust Scheme for asbestos diseases.

Friendly, empathetic and professional, Rachel’s main focus is to secure the largest compensation award possible for her clients.
